Dear readers, today we deal saiga antelope (Saiga otherwise known as tartar), a mammal migratory habits with a soft nasal proboscis and, in males, horns translucent. It is virtually unknown to all (except for professionals) and is one of the most endangered species.
In all campaigns against the danger of extinction of some species, animals are the tiger symbol, the panda bear white, majestic animals really! The saiga antelope, however, has nothing in particular except his ungainly nose.
Despite all initiatives undertaken by the CSM (Convention on Conservation of Migratory Species) to protect this species, poaching is a plague not indifferent. The news coming from the Republic of Kalmykia are daunting: even the little vegetation that survives the winter cold icy steppes of Russia is covered with a thick layer of ice that makes the food inaccessible to small antelope.
The reference figures of this animal are shocking fast: in about 30 years, since the eighties until today, the number of copies of the saiga tartaric increased from one million to less than fifty thousand.
Since 2006 she is trying to track the satellite feed, but the prospects are far from rosy. It may be already too late for this animal.
